Letters and Opinions

These are opinion pieces that I have had published in a variety of newspapers and magazines. I have been writing letters-to-the-editor since 2006, and have had over 160 published since then. I also play guitar and sing in a musical revue called The Loser's Lounge. With a cast of guest singers, we perform tributes to great songwriters and bands. The show is in its 24th year, and we perform at Joe's Pub - The Public Theater and Lincoln Center in New York City.

One of two letters printed on November 28, 2007. This is also the first time I've had a response printed to one of my letters, which amNY published the day after my letter and I include here.

One of two letters I had published on November 28, 2007 - this one in Newsday. They edited my final line, in which I added Jehovah's Witnesses to the potential "eyes" of Homeland Security.

It would be wonderful if these statistics existed. We need to champion our triumphs as much as our failures. amNY published this on November 21, 2007.

Sometimes you just have to support the president. Metro gave me that opportunity on November 19, 2007.
