Letters and Opinions

These are opinion pieces that I have had published in a variety of newspapers and magazines. I have been writing letters-to-the-editor since 2006, and have had over 160 published since then. I also play guitar and sing in a musical revue called The Loser's Lounge. With a cast of guest singers, we perform tributes to great songwriters and bands. The show is in its 24th year, and we perform at Joe's Pub - The Public Theater and Lincoln Center in New York City.

I submit this meditation on listening to one's inner voice. The Daily News printed this letter on March 10, 2010.

I can understand Governor Paterson's desire to ignore the polls and listen to the inner voice that "tells me to stand up." I just wonder if it was the same voice that told him it was a wise move to speak to his close aide's friend the day before she was to obtain an order of protection against him. If the voice was the same, then perhaps the Governor should respond to his next inner voice by asking for a second opinion.
